TIBCO Spotfire is TIBCO's self-service BI and data discovery solution. Spotfire is designed to allow the business user to obtain data and create their own reports and analytical processes independently of the IT department.
Spotfire includes the ability to perform advanced statistical and analytical processing thanks to TERR, a native implementation of the R language in the tool itself.
As a complementary solution, the TIBCO Streambase software enables real-time data processing and analytics.
This data analysis software is offered in two main versions, TIBCO Spotfire Cloud, in the cloud with a subscription fee, and TIBCO Spotfire Platform, for installation on servers, with a licence fee, although the manufacturer also offers a desktop version, TIBCO Spotfire Desktop.
Integration with TIBCO Jaspersoft is foreseen for future versions in order to cover with a single platform the 'traditional' Business Intelligence requirements with the most current ones, which demand a self-service BI for the business user.
