After having sponsored TDWI World Conference Series San Diego (7-12 August), Quiterian gets positioned in the US market as startup challenger, with a visual data mining offering that is meant to complement traditional data warehousing and analytical tools within organizations
Barcelona, September 7, 2011 – After being introduced to the US market in the Gartner BI Summit 2011 (Los Angeles, CA), the visual data mining platform Quiterian DDWeb passes with merit its second big appointment this year in the US, the TDWI World Conference Series in San Diego (CA). The event, that took place from 7 to 12 last August, included demonstrations of the platform’s analytical capabilities, which are targeted at business users who need to manage and analyze large data sets simply and fast. Additionally, the new web application Quiterian Mobile was launched within the venue, although it won’t be available until last week of September 2011.
Quiterian Mobile enables direct interaction between users and their data. This web application brings the results of Quiterian’s advanced and predictive analytics closer to business users and decision makers, who can visualize and analyze those exports anywhere and anytime. In turn, they can make faster and better-informed strategic decisions.
In consistence with this announcement and with current trends in the sector, Quiterian drew an iPad2 at its booth, which was won by Jeffry Martin, Director of Business Intelligence and CRM of Station Casinos.
After having collected great number of success stories with European and Latin American customers that lead their sectors, Quiterian is deeply commited towards replicating in the US a business model that is focused on designing solutions that deliver agility, efficiency and effectiveness and that can be adapted to specific needs of each sector. The company’s Go-to-market (GTM) strategy is in fact based on the need of current organizations getting equipped with visual data mining tools that complement their traditional BI systems. Beyond reporting and massive distribution of reports and dashboards, Quiterian makes a visual, agile and user-friendly data mining available to non-technical users.
“Users can develop most part of their daily analyses, extract reports and dashboards, make segmentations or analyze their customers’ behaviour, self-sufficiently and agily, so that the IT’s and the data mining’s huge workload can get reduced and both teams can focus on core business issues”, points out Al Saavedra, VP of sales for the US at Quiterian.
About Quiterian
Founded in 2003, Quiterian develops, markets and supports Quiterian DDWeb, self-service and agile Business Intelligence (BI) software that analyzes large volumes of raw data at record-breaking speeds. Quiterian includes Visual Data Mining, advanced analytics and predictive analysis techniques and works on Big Data (at least 4TB). The simplicity and intuitiveness of the platform enables any business user to make use of it independently from the IT or data mining teams.
Beyond traditional and predefined BI and visualization-based tools that focus on corporate and dynamic reporting, Quiterian DDWeb was featured in Gartner’s ‘Magic Quadrant for BI platforms 2011’ for “easing the use of Data Mining and Statistical Analysis, and thus making these capabilities more broadly available.” Taking advanced and predictive analytical techniques as basis, Quiterian designs specific business solutions that are customized to each one of its customers, regardless of their operating sector (including financials, insurance, ecommerce, utilities, retail, public transportation, logistics), delivering strategic value, competitiveness and efficiency to their users.
Among its customers are leading companies in their sectors (El Corte Inglés, BBVA, La Caixa, Inversis, Telefonica, Vodafone, Orange, Telepizza, Volkswagen, Travel Club, Bayer, Sanofi), plus some of the most advanced government institutions (Governments of Andalusia, Catalonia, Valencia, Extremadura, Madrid City Council, Bilbao City Council, Metro of Madrid, Metro of Bilbao, ATM, Muface, Muprespa, ENESA).
European headquarters is located in Barcelona, Spain. The company has major offices in Los Angeles (CA), Miami (FL), Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Lisbon and Mexico City. In 2010, Quiterian commenced an international expansion, broadening their reach through the development of the Quiterian Business Partner Network.
