KNIME Analytics Platform is a software application that enables the creation and analysis of data-driven workflows, or pipelines, within the KNIME platform. The software was originally developed by researchers at the University of Konstanz in Germany, but is now available under an open source licence.
The software offers a number of platform-specific features:
- Data exploration and analysis: It allows data to be explored in a variety of ways, including the creation of interactive visualisations and graphs. It also provides an analysis engine that can be used to access a wide range of modelling algorithms and statistical tests, and to create custom filters to help narrow down the results of the analysis engine.
- Data integration: Ability to integrate data from multiple sources into a workflow.
- Machine learning: Functionality to train your own AI models, or use existing ones.
KNIME also has KNIME Hub, the commercial version of the data science software, which extends it with collaboration, deployment, monitoring and scaling capabilities. It is offered online as KNIME Community Hub, and for on-premise installation in companies' infrastructure as KNIME Business Hub.
