The OpenText Analytics and Reporting BI solution comes from Actuate BIRT, an open source BI suite consisting of the following components:

  • OpenText Analytics Designer, the development environment for creating reports, visualisations and dashboards from the IT department.
  • OpenText Information Hub, or iHub, is the BI BIRT server, which provides web access to reports and analytical applications developed with the Analytics Designer design software.

This BI software can be installed on a server, directly or with a virtual application, or used in the cloud with a pay-per-use licence.

The manufacturer also has a specific analytics solution for big data, OpenText Big Data Analytics, and its corresponding cloud version 'OpenText Big Data Analytics in the Cloud'.
