Enables Collaborative Decision Making by Leveraging Chatter Connect to Deliver Social Conversations to QlikView Business Discovery Apps
Dreamforce 2011, the cloud computing event of the year, will showcase how businesses can tap into the power of social, mobile and open technologies to become social enterprises
QlikTech, a leader in Business Discovery - user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), today announced that it has extended the QlikView Business Discovery platform’s social capabilities by leveraging Chatter Connect to enable collaborative decision making. Users can leverage Salesforce Chatter to collaborate and share information within and about their QlikView apps with people in their workgroups and teams. This integration highlights the openness of the QlikView Business Discovery platform, which enables it to seamlessly integrate with and build upon other leading business software.
The announcement was made today at Dreamforce 2011, the cloud computing event of the year. QlikTech will be in booth #408 in the Dreamforce Expo.
“QlikView’s Chatter integration enables business users to collaborate around data-driven decisions,” says Anthony Deighton, senior vice president, Products at QlikView. “Building on the Chatter enterprise collaboration platform extends social BI to a new set of users. Now, QlikView users can benefit from Chatter’s social collaboration, and users in Chatter have visibility to insights discovered in QlikView. It offers the best of both worlds.”
Companies using QlikView and Salesforce Chatter can now collaborate on data and analytics by embedding Chatter feeds, comments and more right into QlikView apps and dashboards. QlikView users can work together privately and securely. They can participate in discussions about the data, sharing insights and collaboratively moving toward decisions. Chatter helps build out the context around data and create a lasting record of the factors that went into a decision. Chatter also pushes important updates to QlikView users so they can quickly respond to questions and participate in conversations.
"It's exciting to see leading ISVs 'Chatterizing' their apps and extending the social enterprise in innovative ways," said Kendall Collins, SVP and GM Chatter, salesforce.com. "This Chatter Connect integration enables our users to instantly collaborate and comment inside Qlikview with Chatter, improve their overall decision making process, and pursue the best ideas at social speed."
The Chatter-QlikView integration was designed in partnership with Centerstance Inc., a management consulting and technology services firm with deep expertise in both QlikView and salesforce.com implementations and integration. The Chatter-QlikView integration is just one of many ground-breaking Collaboration Cloud projects led by Centerstance.
