Healthcare Staffing Firm Transforms its Business Using iWay's Integration, Migration, and Data Quality Technology
NEW YORK, NY, 8 September 2010
iWay Software, an Information Builders company and an innovator of enterprise integration solutions, announced today that CHG Healthcare Services, one of the oldest and largest providers of healthcare staffing in the U.S., is improving the accuracy and efficiency of its information systems with integration and data quality technology from iWay. The Salt Lake City, Utah-based organization selected iWay Software's Data Quality Center (DQC) and iWay Service Manager, key components of the iWay Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Suite, to simplify its transition to a new cloud-based CRM system from Salesforce.com.
CHG Healthcare Services provides a comprehensive service offering that includes both temporary and permanent placement of physicians, allied health professionals, and nurses to hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout the U.S. With 1,200 employees, CHG's new cloud-based CRM system will help this distributed workforce to better synchronize its activities.
"We saved time and money using iWay Service Manager to implement new transformations and data migration scenarios," said Eric Lindeman, a project manager in the IT department at CHG Healthcare Services. "iWay accelerated our Salesforce implementation cycle and will reduce maintenance going forward. If we had built all of these interfaces ourselves it would have taken two to three times as long to create as robust of a solution."
"CHG is using the iWay technology to migrate and transform legacy CRM data and to share data among systems," added Rachel Heitz, director of IT applications at CHG. "iWay gives our business new capabilities that we have not had before. It really propels the business going forward."
Initially, CHG used iWay Service Manager and iWay adapters to create interfaces between its legacy DB2/400 database and the hosted database used by Saleforce.com. iWay enables direct connectivity to Salesforce.com via service-oriented architecture services, XML, and other methods. Next CHG used iWay Data Quality Center to examine and fix problems in its legacy CRM environment prior to converting it and bringing it over into the Cloud. iWay DQC validates telephone numbers, addresses, social security numbers, e-mail addresses, and other data attributes. Eventually, CHG plans to use iWay DQC to maintain data quality in the new CRM environment as well, along with iWay DataMigrator, to manage the initial data loads from various CRM systems into the Salesforce.com system.
"More and more companies are choosing solutions delivered via a software-as-a-service model, and part of the challenge comes with figuring out how to merge data between on-premise and hosted information systems," said Dave Watson, chief operating officer at iWay Software. "iWay gives these organizations a central integration hub that can move data around as they make decisions about these new applications and business models. Little or no coding is required to carry out complex data quality, migration, and transformation exercises."
