Nuance Communications, a Microsoft Company, has announced the general availability of Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX™) Copilot, an AI copilot for automated clinical documentation.
The application uses AI to streamline the creation of medical documentation, improving clinical efficiency and reducing burnout. It is based on Nuance's Dragon Medical platform, used by over 550,000 physicians.
The announcement comes as AI investment in healthcare is predicted to rise to nearly 11% in 2024, up from 5.7% in 2022. DAX Copilot creates draft clinical summaries of exam room or telehealth conversations for immediate physician review and entry in the electronic health record (EHR) system..
